About the Bookstore

Hours of operation

The Bookstore is closed on weekends and on legal holidays and has extended hours of operation during the book rush at the beginning of each semester.

Supplies & clothing

The Bookstore sells a wide variety of school and office supplies, as well as Dawson College branded clothing and accessories.

Availability of textbooks

As of week 9, the Bookstore will begin returning unsold books to the publishers.

Course change / course drop

Students who participate in course change / course drop will have the opportunity to request a refund for textbooks. The following supporting documents must be presented:

• Completed course drop form
• Cash register receipts

Personal property

All personal property should be left in lockers. Customers may be asked to leave their coat or bags outside the store while shopping. The Bookstore does not accept responsibility for lost or stolen items.

Used books

The Bookstore has a small amount of used books available for sale during book rush. These books are identified by a yellow “USED” sticker on the spine. All used books are placed on the same shelf as new copies. They are priced 25% less than new copies.

Cash for books

During the first week of each semester, students may sell their books from previous semesters at the book buy-back located in the Upper Atrium next to the escalators. There is no guarantee that a title will be bought back. The dates for the buy-back can be found on the Dawson College Facebook page, as well as the Daily Bulletin.
