Philippe Lamarre

After studying graphic design in Connecticut, Vancouver, and Montreal, Philippe Lamarre founded multidisciplinary design studio TOXA in 2000. In 2003, with the hidden ambition of making a cultural mark on society, he created URBANIA. One thing led to another, and before long he was producing award-winning television series and interactive projects for a distinguished list of clients such as Radio-Canada, the NFB, and Bell Media. Recipient of Montreal’s Phyllis-Lambert Award in 2008, Philippe is recognized as a visionary and talented media entrepreneur. In 2010 he was named “Producer of the Year” at the Canadian New Media Awards in Toronto. Currently, he is president of the Quebec Graphic Design Society and sits on the Boards of Montreal Doc Fest RIDM, and the NTE theatre company.
