OneRedPaperclipTM Contest
Have you ever heard of a gentleman called Kyle MacDonald, a Montrealer who traded a red paper clip for a house in a series of 14 trades and wrote a book about it? You will be given a single paper clip and asked to hone your negotiation skills by trading it for something bigger and better. Paperclips will be distributed all day on the 12th.

You will then have an opportunity to present your final traded item during the closing event.  All collected items will be auctioned off for charity at a later date. Prizes to be won!

Dawson’s Den
Do you have the next big idea? Ever heard of CBC’s Dragon’s Den? Dawson’s Den is a weeklong activity that will prepare you to pitch an idea, product or service to a panel of experts in various fields. It will take teamwork, creativity, perseverance and more to persuade members of the panel to endorse a potentially feasible entrepreneurial project. Working in pairs or in a group, students preselected through our YouTube campaign will reflect, create and present an entrepreneurial idea. A facilitator will help answer your questions and prepare your final pitch for the Dawson’s Den judges on the Thursday night. If you don;t get to submit a Youtube video, you can still present on the 12th @ 6pm. Prizes to be won!

Montreal NewTech
The Montreal NewTech Group is a series of free monthly networking events for the startup community and tech enthusiasts. Dawson College will host this event during EWeek. Four startups will present their new product or service followed by a Q & A period. Mingle and meet other people interested in the next best thing. You never know who you will meet!

Speed Date an Entrepreneur
Sometimes all a future entrepreneur needs is a mentor and a nudge in the right direction. This event brings together future entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial leaders in the community. You will have 45 seconds to ask an entrepreneur a burning question. Prizes to be won!
