CRLT in the News

  • CRLT students actively learn how to plan, implement and evaluate both simple and complex community projects.
  • We believe in giving students the opportunity to test their action skills, be immersed in ethical decisions and experience the consequences, first hand, of their behaviour.
  • Themes of projects vary to meet client needs. Below are links to a recent Peace Garden project that CRLT students were actively involved with through courses within the program.

Students hope to collect 10,000 messages on the Peace Wall by September 13

Five years after its creation, CRLT students have revived the virtual Peace Wall in light of the 10 year commemorations of the events of September 13, 2006. Their goal is to collect a total of 10,000 peace messages (1,000 for each year since the 2006 tragedy) or a message from each of the 193 countries included in the United Nations.

They were featured on Global TV’s Focus Montreal program and the interview can be viewed online at: http://globalnews.ca/video/2659294/focus-montreal-dawson-colleges-10000-messages-of-peace.
