Registration Dates
Internet Registration
Students eligible to register by Internet:
- returning students last registered in Winter 2016
- new or former students who apply online by 11:30 p.m. August 17, 2016

Internet Registration offers the best course selection and is the only way to register before classes begin. The earlier students complete their registration the better chance they have to find space in the course(s) of their choice.

Students registered in the day division in Winter 2016
If you were registered in the day division in Winter 2016 but now wish to study in Continuing Education only, you must complete a Program Transfer Form through the Omnivox portal prior to registration.
Students with a “cours commandite” form
You must submit your Commandite form to the Continuing Education Office, room 2H.1. The earlier you submit your form, the better chance you have to find space in the course you need.
Information Session
New students are invited to attend an information session on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. in room 4C.1.
Topics will include:
Services available, Course selection and the Registration process.
*The office will close Thursday, July 14 and will reopen Monday, August 1.
Internet Registration
Reminder: You must apply online by 11:30 p.m. August 17, 2016, to be able to register using the Internet.
Timetable updates, including sections taken off reserve and any sections added, will be posted on the college website.
Internet Registration
- Access Dawson’s website at www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca, then click on MYDAWSON (top right). If you haven’t yet set up your password, you will need your Dawson College student number, your permanent code and your date of birth. Scroll down and log in using this information to create a password. Your permanent code appears on most of the official documents (e.g. transcripts) that have been sent to you by any Quebec educational institution and it also appears on your student ID card. Once you have entered the correct information you will be prompted to choose a security question (which will be used in case you forget your PASSWORD) and then you can create your Password.
- Click on Course Registration (under My Omnivox Services). You will be asked to confirm the reason why you wish to register for courses.
To add a course you will need the 8-character course number and the section number. If no seats are available in a given section of a course, try another section, if applicable. Or you many call the Continuing Education Office at (514) 933-3771 to ask about waiting lists. - Don’t forget to finalize. Finalize your registration when you are sure that you do not wish to add or drop any more courses, but no later than August 22, 2016. You can only finalize once, and when you finalize, all your selected courses are finalized at the same time. If you are having problems with your registration, CALL THE HELP LINE (Continuing Education) BEFORE FINALIZING. See details below.
- You will know you have finalized your registration when you see your confirmation number. Please keep your confirmation number for future reference. Students who do not finalize their registration by Monday, August 22, 2016 may have their temporary course registration cancelled.
- Fees must be paid in full upon registration.
- Students who do not pay their course fees in full may have their course registration cancelled, and will remain liable for the non-refundable fees.

Remember that only Continuing Education students from Winter 2016 who have an appointment for Fall 2016 registration, and others who apply online by 11:30 p.m. August 17, 2016, are eligible to register by Internet.

LATE REGISTRATION/ COURSE CHANGE
(in person) – Wednesday, August 31, 2016
Late Registration and Course Change will take place, in room 5B.16 on Wednesday, August 31, 2016:
- 4:00 to 5:00 PM: by appointment only
for students who applied August 18 to August 25, 2016 - 5:00 to 6:00 PM: first-come, first-served,
for all others eligible to register and for those requesting a course or section change
Limited space may still be available for students who do not register online by August 22, 2016, or for those who wish to add a course. Students may attempt course or section changes on the date (and at the times) specified above.
Fees for additional courses must be paid in full at Late Registration/Course Change.
Please note that students who register on August 31 will be starting classes one week after classes begin. If you register for a Wednesday class, you will need to attend immediately after your registration is complete.
