Health Science (200.H2)
Health Science is a two-year pre-university profile that prepares students for entry to university in the medical and life sciences as well as biotechnology. The profile provides a solid grounding in mathematics and physics and the opportunity for in-depth study of chemistry and biology. From Health Science, students can pursue a Bachelor’s degree in such fields as biology, biochemistry, physiology, ecology and in professional programs such as medicine, dentistry, nursing and physiotherapy. Among the skills you will develop are:
- approaching problem-solving in a systematic way
- applying the experimental method
- using data-processing technology and electronic forms of communication
- using computerized data-acquisition systems
- identifying the context in which scientific ideas originated and evolved
- using the basic vocabulary of the sciences in French
