Level 1

This course is an introduction to digital photography. Campers will learn to use their digital cameras, imaging software (Photoshop), editing and shooting techniques, retouching, enhancing, and special effects, as well as daily artistic journaling. There will also be outings in the Montreal area where students will have the opportunity to take pictures on site. Campers in this course will come away with a greater understanding of the art of digital photography and its possibilities.

Every Friday at 4:00 p.m., we hold an exhibition/slideshow of the campers’ work.

Campers must be prepared to bring a functional digital camera package, including all of the following:

  • A digital camera (preferably one with all manual controls)
  • Sufficient Memory (256 megabites card minimum)
  • Downloading cable (camera to computer USB)
  • Charged batteries and a battery charger

Campers will also have to purchase digital photographic paper. They need 10 sheets of 8×10 or 8.5×11 matte or pearle Epson digital photographic paper.

Note: Absolutely no camera phones allowed.
